Trout fishing occurs in the lakes and dams twelve months of the year and the rivers are open from October long weekend to the long weekend in June
Easter Saturday sees the Town swell to over 2000 people for the annual Easter Fair - the roads around the Shopping Centre are closed off for the 50 or more stallholders and community groups - so much happens - lots of activities for kids & adults - pie comp for the adults - a tug-a-war - Duck Race - and a visit from the Easter Bunny

The official ski season opens on the long weekend in June and depending on snowfalls continues through to September

Selwyn Snowfields in Kosciuszko National Park are the closest to Adaminaby offering alpine facilities for families and beginners
Kiandra is an abandoned historic gold mining town. (photo to the left)

There are walking trails which provide information and points of interest.

The 'Snowy Ride' occurs the first weekend in November in involving hundreds of motorbikes.

Horse riding through the National Park is a favourite - see the Snowy Mountains from a different veiwpoint - join the Rudd or Cochran Families for this great experience
In November it's horse racing - Race Day is held at the Adaminaby Racecourse near the Murrumbidgee River on the Bobeyan Road - over 2500 people attend to watch and bet on a few races, have a few drinks with old and new friends, dress up to the yearly theme.
